Ian Bowler MRICS FAAV
Director
Ian has over 25 years’ experience as a land and property asset professional. He graduated from the Royal Agricultural University (nee College) before qualifying as a chartered surveyor with Jeremy Moody and becoming a Fellow of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers and a Partner and Director with two national firms of surveyors. In 2016 Ian became the founding Director of Bowler Oakfield Estates Limited.
He has a love of the countryside and has many retained landowning clients across central and southern England. Bowler Oakfield operates across southern central England from Dorset to Kent and up into the Midlands advising on Strategic Estate Management, Land Development Promotional Agreements, Renewables and property asset management.
With the support of the Team, Ian also advises on Woodland, Commercial Property, Infrastructure Projects and Estate Management for Private Individuals, Companies and Corporate Businesses.
Benjamin Hamilton MSc MRICS
Associate Director
Benjamin, having spent 10 years in the Coldstream Guards, retrained as a Chartered Surveyor qualifying in 2012.
He was brought up on and around rural estates and farms at his home in Wiltshire. He has a deep understanding of the complexities of farms and estates and provides clear strategic management advice and consultancy to a range of clients in Wiltshire and the surrounding counties. Benjamin has a particular interest in the environmental side of land management and Natural Capital.
Natalie Neal
Office Manager
Natalie has overseen the day-to-day operations of the Bowler Oakfield office since the summer of 2017, providing consistent support to the team. From managing accounts to sourcing supplies, she ensures everything runs smoothly.
Outside of work, she embraces her creative side in making homeware ceramics, teaching pottery, baking cakes and driving her Grey Fergie tractor.
Karen Smith
PA
Karen became part of the Bowler Oakfield Team in 2024 and supports the Directors in her role as Personal Assistant having previously worked for Knight Frank for several years.
Outside of work, Karen keeps herself busy babysitting, dog sitting or waitressing, but always working towards her next holiday adventure!
